A Journey of Empathy, Collaboration, & Empowerment

Value & Specializations ~ Healing Space LLC offers a safe, collaborative space for individuals (ages 15+) to navigate life’s complexities. I provide a unique, humanistic, and feminist perspective that integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Therapy. By grounding our work in neurobiology and Somatic/Mindfulness practices, I help clients understand how their brain and nervous system process stress, trauma, and connection. This holistic approach honors how personal and generational histories shape the present, allowing for lasting healing, self-awareness, and contentment. Meet Emily: Your Partner in Healing ~ Hello! I’m Emily Lewandowski. My path as a clinical therapist has been shaped by over two decades of experience across community non-profits, government agencies, schools, and intensive treatment centers. Beyond my direct work with clients, I am honored to serve as a Minnesota Board of Social Work Approved Clinical Supervisor, providing mentorship to the next generation of practitioners. My Approach & Clinical Focus ~ I believe in the transformative power of being truly seen and understood. My work is primarily IFS-informed, meaning we look at the "parts" of your internal world—those voices that may feel like critics, protectors, or wounded shadows. By approaching these parts with curiosity rather than judgment, we can unburden old wounds and lead from a place of "Self" clarity. I bridge this IFS framework with neurobiologically-informed interventions, looking at how your brain and nervous system are wired to respond to the world. This allows us to move away from shame and toward practical strategies that work with your biology, not against it. Beyond the Therapy Room ~ I am a firm believer that our personal passions and community connections fuel our capacity for growth. Outside of my clinical work, I find joy and grounding in spending time with my partner and our two children. I am an avid lover of music and the creation of art, as well as a voracious reader. I coach basketball and love to travel and lounge in the sun! I am also deeply committed to social justice and staying actively involved in my community. Identity & Inclusion ~ I am wholeheartedly dedicated to providing LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-affirming care. I recognize that our identities and the systems we move through are inseparable from our mental health. I seek to explicitly acknowledge and honor these identities in our work together, fostering a therapeutic space that is inclusive of all marginalized groups and lived experiences. I specialize in supporting those navigating: Neurodiversity & Mood: Brain-based tools and support for ADHD, PTSD, anxiety, and mood disorders. Relational Health: Strengthening parent-child bonds and exploring how our history impacts our connections with others. Self-Compassion: Deepening understanding of all internal "parts" while navigating shame, grief, or life transitions. The Impact of Our Work ~ By exploring how your history, biology, and internal "parts" influence your current reality, we create a path toward meaningful change. Whether we are strengthening a relational bond or helping you reconcile internal conflicts, my goal is to provide the warmth and insight you need to grow. It is a profound honor to accompany you on your therapeutic journey and witness the healing that comes from our collaboration. Education & Credentials ~ Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) – Minnesota License #21910 MN Board of Social Work Approved Clinical Supervisor – Providing supervision for students pursuing clinical licensure. Clinical Experience: 14+ years as a clinical provider. Specialized Certifications & Additional Education: ADHD-CCSP (ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider), Trauma-Informed Care, Anxiety Disorders, and Mindfulness/Somatic Practices. NPI: 1619738002
